Een bijzondere fietsenstaling in Amsterdam
Step into the realm of lighting excellence with OneEightyOne as we unveil our remarkable project at Klein Gartman Plantsoen in Amsterdam. In collaboration with Bosman Bedrijven, Ballast Nedam, and ZJA Architecten, we have brought to life a stunning lighting design that exceeds expectations. In response to the Municipality of Amsterdam and Ballast Nedam's call for an innovative transformation, we set out to create a functional and secure environment that would enhance the overall experience for park-goers. Collaborating closely with the ingenious minds at ZJA Architecten, we embarked on a groundbreaking journey to transcend the boundaries of traditional lighting, focusing on practicality and efficiency.
About the Project
When the bicycle storage was still 'a hole in the ground', we already had to think about the installation. While the concrete was being poured, we already installed the cables in the right place. If the concrete had already be set, there was no chance the cables would ever fit in between. The technical design therefore needed to be done in time to make sure the cabling would be right.
High-tech light boxes
The light boxes hanging on the ceiling, also called iPhones or ceiling islands, do not only consist of our lighting. There is also another technology incorporated. Think, for example, of air treatment, 4G and stereo installations. There are also plates attached in the boxes that enhance the acoustics.
Customized on location
Although we have prepared as much work as possible in our workshop, we customized all the lighting on location to make sure everything would fit. Working at the Kleine-Gartmanplantsoen was really intensive. With 6 staff members, it took us about a month to complete the installation.
'It was nice to do this project, because there were so many different facets, like logistics, infra, planning and the collaboration with al lot of parties. I experienced this collaboration with Bosman and other parties as really pleasant.'
