The Titanic Belfast has recently undergone a major renovation and part of the project was the unique lighting experience, which we had the privilege of contributing to. We were commissioned by Fiction Factory and Opera Amsterdam to install over 300 meters of LED lighting in the approximately 8-meter-long scale model of the Titanic.

We installed a total of 150 meters of RGB LED Strip individually controlled by DiGidot C4 and another 150 meters of COB LED Strip to create a stunning visual experience. With precise control over each LED, we were able to bring the model to life and enhance the visitor's experience at Titanic Belfast.

About the Project

THE PROCESS

Preparations

In collaboration with fiction Factory, we worked on a scale model of the Titanic. This was custom made by fiction factory and we created the lighting experience. In terms of preparation, a plan was developed in advance in collaboration with Fiction Factory to ensure that this experience worked as smoothly as possible.

Execution

During the assembly of the LED, there were challenges. These were tackled through collaboration with Fiction Factory and transformed into a positive result. The assembly was mostly done on site making it truly a custom solution!

Result

Early in 2023 was the opening of the renewed Titanic experience in Belfast. Here the light experience is visible in a prominent position and we are proud of the contribution we made in this impressive project!
