Amsterdam Light Festival

With my My absence is your presence Artist Mischa Kuball's thought-provoking piece explored the impact of AI on our lives. We took his handwritten message and transformed it into a mesmerizing 3D light sculpture. By combining different materials and LED solutions, we created a playful and impactful experience that sparked conversations about our relationship with technology.

Made by Arnaud Laffond, this project is called 'Le Saut'. This installation symbolized our connection to emerging technologies. It featured a striking four-meter-by-four-meter grid floating on the water. Our team engineered and constructed the grid, equipping it with strategically placed square cap LED products to ensure it was evenly illuminated from all angles. This created a mesmerizing visual effect that invited viewers to contemplate the possibilities and challenges of technological advancement.

Created by Studio MAST 'Is it really you' is a captivating piece questioning the potential bias in AI algorithms. We created a custom solution using a network of hundreds of waterproof LED segments mounted on a stainless steel frame. This allowed for seamless color combinations and high light output, even in broad daylight. The constantly changing patterns on the face, mimicking the actions of a facial recognition system, encouraged viewers to question how AI perceives us and whether it truly sees us for who we are.

'Water' is an art piece made by Herman Kuijer, we used a 24V Neonflex in Topview, with RGBW 3000K, containing 60 SMD5050 LEDs/m. It has an Ingress Protection rating of IP67, and its housing material is PVC. Perfect for lighting up its surroundings, such as facades, but in this project: water.

With the project 'Next Connection' we perfectly showcase the possibilities of our beams and that they are suitable for multiple options and variations. Our lighting enhances already beautiful objects. With this 12W beam RGBW3000K at a 25° angle, we gave this art piece the shine it deserved."

For 'Pool of Dreams' we designed a special lighting setup for artist Vibhor Sogani. It features 100 mirrored steel orbs, which partially ascend into a nearby water bank. Using a customized single E6 module with grey PVM, blue LED, and 24v - 1.5w.We adapted the Linear Flex to create this unique lighting fixture.
